PBAT
Description

The PBAT, polybutylene adipate terephthalate, is a compostable and biodegradable polymer used mainly in the film process.
One of the most interesting characteristics of this material is the possibility to optain it from both organic and fossil sources. Therefore, the supply of industrial quantities is always guaranteed according to market needs.
It has the following certificates: Vincotte, Ok compost and BPI and FDA.

PPS
Description

PPS or polyphenylensulfide is a very noble semi-crystalline thermoplastic material also used in aerospace fields. It has a high performance, with excellent mechanical properties (resistance to deformation, stiffness and strength) and excellent thermal and chemical resistance, which often leads it to be the best alternative to metals or thermosets. PPS is generally available in unloaded form, reinforced with glass fiber (30-40%) and with mineral filler up to 65%. Among the most important features are:
-
continuous use temperature up to 240 ° C;
-
resistance to temperature peaks up to 270 ° C;
-
intrinsically self-extinguishing, this means that it reaches the UL 94 V0 class and in some degrees the 5 VA, even without flame retardant additives.
-
very high chemical resistance (insoluble in all known solvents below 200 ° C);
-
very low water absorption;
-
very high resistance to deformation, even at high temperatures; so it is the most suitable material for many particularly demanding applications.
Moreover, it is characterized by one of the highest temperature resistance found among thermoplastics.

Applications

-
electrical and electronic components: electrical plugs; coils; multipoint connectors; relay; switches.
-
parts for the automotive industry: pumps; valves.
-
components of the air supply system: gaskets.
-
fuel system components.
-
motor tool components.
-
