PMMA

Description

PMMA, poly-methyl methacrylate, has good optical properties, high gloss and scratch resistance. It also has a low coefficient of shrinkage and tends to develop less depressions in geometries with sections of different thickness. PMMA can be used as an alternative to polycarbonate (PC), when are required characteristics of high transparency, resistance to UV rays and/or scratch resistance . It has a high resistance to impacts, to chemical agents and has good resistance to aging, high rigidity, optical purity and dimensional stability. Furthermore, it is easy to work it and it has a good tensile strength
